About Jim Cunilio

My father Victor Cunilio was an attorney who served as “of counsel” until his death in 2000 and he was my mentor.  I graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 1971 and from Villanova University Law School in 1975.  I started practicing law with several law school associates and gained courtroom experience trying criminal cases for a county public defender office as soon as I passed the bar exam in 1975.

In the almost 40 years since I started practicing law, I have developed expertise in a wide variety of cases.  In addition to criminal law, in my early years I practiced matrimonial law, personal injury law, landlord and tenant matters, wills and estates, residential real estate transactions and the formation and representation of small business.  Over the years, I became proficient in commercial litigation, driver licensing matters, appeals, will contests, business acquisitions and labor and consumer law.  I now represent clients in civil and criminal litigation matters, from the most basic to the most complicated, in most state and federal courts in southeastern Pennsylvania.
